- February 2025 Bans on certain AI practices (Art. 5) apply
- August 2025 Obligations for providers of GPAI models
- August 2026 Transparency obligations (Art. 50), deployer obligations and governance structure
- Aug 2026 → likely Dec 2027 High-risk systems under Annex III: formally August 2026; the Digital Omnibus (2026) proposes postponing to December 2027, subject to publication in the EU Official Journal
- Aug 2027 → likely Aug 2028 High-risk AI in regulated products (Annex I); August 2028 under the Omnibus proposal
